Why change an already perfect bike, Kawasaki must have thought. Besides a new color scheme, there aren't -as far as I know- any changes in respect to the 1993 model. In The Netherlands the price went up almost as fast as the ZZ-R accelerates from 0 to 100 kmh. This was, amongst others, a result of an expensive Yen.

In 1995 Kawasaki gave the ZZ-R rider something he had, a long time, been waiting for: a clock (yes!). In contrast to the price, the color's were rather modest.
